Hours: 30 hours per week
Pay: £12.60 per hour

Role Overview

We are seeking a care assistant to join our team and enhance the lives of our residents through person-centred care. This role is central to promoting wellbeing, independence, and social interaction within the residents own home. 

To assist in the provision of care and work as part of the team to achieve required standards. To ensure Service Users retain their dignity and individuality. To be involved in the general activities of the Care Centre. To maintain a safe and secure environment for Service Users, Staff Members and Visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • To meet the wellbeing needs of people who use our service in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.
  • To help maintain an atmosphere and a culture in the scheme based on the homes values
  • To provide an environment where residents can feel safe and well and do more of what matters to them.
  • To help people to build personal resilience in self-managing their own health and wellbeing

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Team player
  • Strong organisational skills, including planning, prioritising, report writing and record keeping
  • Knowledge and understanding of the impact of loneliness and isolation on a person’s health and wellbeing
  • Knowledge of Telecare and telehealth services to help people live more independently at home.
  • Ability to maintain all aspects of confidentiality
  • Open listening skills
  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions
  • Ability to work within a quality and customer focused service
  • Satisfactory Policy Check and check against the PoVA list
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programme
